KP-CARE1 Project: Accelerating HIV Response
The HEARTLAND Alliance LTD/GTE KP-CARE1 project, funded by USAID, is a strategic initiative designed to bolster Nigeria’s efforts to meet the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets and eliminate AIDS by 2030. This project focuses on enhancing HIV prevention, treatment, and care services, particularly for key populations. By increasing both access to and demand for these critical services, the KP-CARE1 project strengthens the national response against HIV/AIDS. It also prioritizes building the capacity of healthcare staff and expanding community-based clinical services. The ultimate goal is to achieve a future with zero new HIV infections, zero AIDS-related deaths, and zero discrimination in Nigeria.
