Mental Health Support
Individual Counseling: Personalized sessions with professional counselors to address mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Group Therapy: Supportive group sessions that provide a safe space for individuals to share experiences and build community. Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
SRHR for HIV Testing and Services
Our comprehensive HIV Testing and Services (HTS) program aims to provide accurate and confidential HIV testing to individuals. We ensure immediate linkage to care for those who test positive, supporting their journey towards treatment and management of HIV. Our services include pre-test counseling, post-test support, and continuous follow-up to encourage adherence and monitor health status.
STI Treatment Services
Our STI treatment services provide prompt and effective care for sexually transmitted infections. We offer confidential testing, diagnosis, and treatment for a variety of STIs. Our approach ensures that individuals receive the necessary care and support to manage their health and prevent further transmission.
Human Rights and Legal Services
Our human rights education and legal services aim to empower individuals with knowledge of their rights and provide legal support when needed. We offer workshops, legal consultations, and advocacy to ensure that individuals are aware of their rights and can defend them. Our services are dedicated to promoting equality and justice for all.

About Happiest Ones Initiative (HOHSRI)
Happiest Ones Health Support and Rights Initiative (HOHSRI) is a Nigerian-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health, rights, and overall well-being of sexual and gender minorities, especially members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Founded in 2020 out of a grassroots support network established in 2014, HOHSRI provides mental health support, legal advocacy, HIV and STI services, and community empowerment through education and outreach. The initiative is committed to creating safe spaces, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring that marginalized voices are heard, protected, and uplifted.

Our HIV prevention services focus on reducing the risk of HIV transmission through education and the provision of preventive tools.

Our safe shelter services offer a secure and supportive environment for individuals facing housing instability
Gender-Based Violence Intervention
Our Gender-Based Violence (GBV) intervention services are designed to support individuals who have experienced violence.
Our Achievements
Reached over 1,523 individuals with safe sex practices and prevention messages through individual and group sessions.
Provided HIV Testing Services to 21,617 individuals; identified 1,052 positives and enrolled them into care.
Administered PrEP to 2,335 individuals; ensured 100% ART linkage for 1,052 positive clients.
We’re proud to have served more than 2,616 clients.
Health Services
HIV Prevention and Treatment We’ve reached 1,523 People with prevention messages about safe sex practices and condom use. Our HIV Testing Services (HTS) have served 1,053 individuals, identifying 300 positive cases and enrolling them in care. We’ve also placed 39 individuals on PrEP.
Advocacy and Community Engagement
We’ve made advocacy visits to stakeholders in Lagos to introduce our services, discuss mobilization, and outline mutual benefits. We’ve also held weekly online sessions on mental and sexual health, and social issues
Confidential HIV Testing, Support & Empowerment
Our SRHR and HIV Testing Services (HTS) program offers free, confidential testing with immediate linkage to care and long-term support. We provide pre- and post-test counseling, follow-ups, and health monitoring to help individuals live confidently and well.
