HIV Achievement Section
Our organization, Happiest Ones Health Support and Rights Initiative (HOHSRI), has taken significant strides in delivering HIV prevention and treatment services. Our focus has been on high-impact, community-based interventions to target the most vulnerable populations.
Our robust HIV prevention and treatment program designed to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations, specifically Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) and transgender individuals. Through outreach, education, and access to life-saving medications, HOHSRI has positively impacted over 1,500 individuals within high-risk communities.
Our HIV intervention program is built around the principles of:
- Prevention: Disseminating information and providing tools such as condoms and PrEP to prevent HIV transmission.
- Testing: Offering confidential HIV Testing Services (HTS) to ensure early diagnosis.
- Treatment and Linkage to Care: Ensuring all positive individuals are immediately enrolled in ART (Antiretroviral Therapy).
- Support and Retention: Organizing monthly support group meetings to encourage adherence and foster community among clients
Prevention Efforts

We have successfully reached 1,523 men who have sex with men (MSM) through prevention messages about safe sex practices and condom use, delivered through both individual and group sessions. These targeted efforts have helped create awareness and foster a culture of safer sexual behavior within key populations.
HIV Testing Services (HTS)

Our HIV testing services have reached 1,053 individuals, of which 85 individuals were identified as HIV-positive. Each of these positive cases was enrolled in care, ensuring a 100% linkage to treatment, demonstrating our commitment to immediate care for those in need.
PrEP Services

40 individuals received HIV testing services, and 39 of them were placed on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent the contraction of HIV. One individual, identified as HIV-positive, was enrolled in antiretroviral therapy (ART).
Linkage to Care

HOHSRI boasts a 100% success rate in linking all 85 HIV-positive clients identified to life-saving treatment, underscoring our robust care continuum and engagement processes.
Viral Load Management:
We maintain close relationships with our clients to ensure regular viral load testing, an essential component of achieving viral suppression and long-term health management.
Support Groups:
To further enhance drug adherence and support our clients, we organize monthly support group meetings in Ikorodu and Shomolu. These gatherings provide a safe space for sharing experiences, offering peer support, and addressing health objectives such as adherence to ART.
